PHUTURE PHANTOMS TRAVEL BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
5TH & 6TH GRADE BOYS & GIRLS
Phuture Phantoms Basketball is a non-profit, fee-based, travel basketball program exclusively for Phoenixville Area School District residents. The mission is to provide a unified approach to teaching the fundamentals of the game while allowing young Phoenixville players to compete together at their individual grade and skill level. For the 2022-2023 season, Phuture Phantoms will field four teams: 5th grade girls; 6th grade girls; 5th grade boys; and 6th grade boys. Each team will compete at their skill level in the Inter-County Basketball Association, the premier area youth travel league made up of teams from all over the greater Philadelphia region.
A MAXIMUM OF 10 PLAYERS WILL BE SELECTED FOR EACH TEAM.
2 separate tryouts will be held for each team individually. It is strongly recommended that any player wishing to be selected to play on a team attend both tryout sessions. The tryouts will be held at the new Phoenixville Borough Recreation Center at 501 Franklin Avenue as follows:
5th and 6th Grade Boys – October 15 and October 22 from 2-3:15 pm
5th and 6th Grade Girls – October 15 and October 22 from 3:30-5 pm
In order to try out and be considered for a spot on a team, you must pre-register by October 3, 2022 at www.phuturephantomsfootball.com. There is no fee to register or participate in the tryouts but if selected for a team, the fee will be $200.00 to participate. Practices will be held at Manavon Elementary School gym on 2 nights per week between 7-9:30 pm starting the week of October 24 and continuing through early March. Home games will be played on Saturday afternoons at the Rec Center. Away games will most often occur on weekends and any games during the week will be occur between 6-9:30 p.m. The ICBA season runs from Mid-December through Mid-March (including playoffs and championship weekend).
Please arrive for each tryout at least 15 minutes prior to the start time to check in and get ready to play. All Players should bring water and wear a reversible jersey/shirt.
